Craiglockhart Pond Swans

Brief walk past the Criaglockhart Pond area this afternoon, and the resident swans now have some new cygnets - you can just make out both adults and some of the young (on and near the nest) in the main snap ...

... the extra, which isn't terribly clear, shows them heading back to the nest earlier, and there are 9 (I know if looks like 7 in the picture!) cygnets in total :-)

Not sure I can ever recall so many successfully hatching?
