Mono Monday: Impromptu

Well, I hope this qualifies for today's Mono Monday challenge hosted by MerrilHope!

G is in the throes of exam week with her student and had to be in earlier than normal for a Monday, so despite the fact that it involved a pre-6am wake-up, I drove her in. That is the impromptu part of this blip. I went armed with my camera and G took some shots as we drove along.

This gardener was stopped at the traffic lights near Box Park. He is carrying his lawnmower - carefully balanced and secured on the back of his bike - and other tools of the trade in the basket on the front. There you go. Occasionally, you see them trailing the lawnmower along the side as they ride from job to job. It's quite enterprising really.

The rest of the day passed happily enough. We called into Krispy Kreme's at Bur Juman to get two dozen doughnuts - almost all to give away tomorrow. Ramadan is fast approaching, as is the end of the school year, so any "treats" or parties are being squeezed into this week!

We had cake at Bible Study tonight, courtesy of our hostess who had a birthday yesterday. Magnolia Bakery vanilla cake. It was delicious!
