Devon Hedgerow

I had a Zumba class this morning, and when I returned I took Ziggy for a walk round the block. The block is about 2.5 miles long and consists mainly of hedgerows which are looking so beautiful right now, and smell gorgeous too. This shot shows just a little sample of one bit of hedge - but it's like that in all of these lanes - the colours vary a little, but that's about it.
We took Ziggy to the vet late afternoon, and didn't get home until about 7:30 pm. Amongst all sorts of indignities (that's what his face said anyway) he also had to have blood tests, and we walked around the town for a while while they performed the analyses. Amazing isn't it - for humans, it all has to be sent away and takes days?    They thought he may have pancreatitis as he has a really high temperature and other symptoms, and has been quite sad and poorly for several days now.  To cut a long story short, he doesn't have it, but they can't confirm what he does have. The vet gave him an injection and we have several types of medication for him. This evening he seems to have perked up suddenly, and wouldn't stop eating! Fingers crossed.
