ARE YOU METAL??

Well, Rhiannon and I decided we clearly weren't that metal....although we were looking forward to going to the metal pub all day. Plus it was raining so there wasn't much to do! It didn't open til 7pm so we had to think of other stuff to do. We went to the Bauhaus Museum, which was interesting. I did go off on a bit of an angry rant about consumerism after visiting the shop and seeing how extortionate the prices were. I just don't get how people think it's acceptable to charge hundreds of euros for say, a bowl. Anyway....my anger was soon soothed by the most amazing burgers at Burgermeister (a burger joint in an old public toilet beneath the rail tracks - amazing!)

After that, we went to a few bars in Friedrichshain. In one of them, we later found out we had been filmed for a German comedy show (what?), in another, (very local place), we sort of felt a bit unwelcome and were denied buying a shot of this hilarious sounding drink. Apparently it was "private" (what???) Then we went to a fairly normal pub and finally we went to the metal pub. The thing is, we aren't really that metal - jingly jangly guitars is much more our scene. It reminds me of the time Rhiannon and I cleared the dance floor at Rock Kitchen by requesting 'Bohemian like you'. Clearly too indie to be metal?
