Chipmunk College

Lesson one, hand-feeding. Tilly, with a tail ending in a puff and notched ears graduated on the first day. She had a gentle introduction yesterday as I sat out on the patio surrounded by peanuts at my feet. Today she needed no time at all to begin filling her pouches while resting on my open hand. They have very cold feet and lightweight little bodies. She sensed easily that she could trust me, and the lure of peanuts cannot be ignored.

I took this by propping my iPhone X against the peanut cup, I sat behind it with my Apple watch in my left hand, triggering the shot remotely. There was no camera movement to scare her.

For the Record
This day came in cool and cloudy.

All hands enjoying spring except for POISON IVY which I have on various spots, my left arm, neck & chest. I'm driven mad by the itch and the new spots each day.I played in the woods my whole childhood and NEVER ever had a problem, but I am very sensitive now. Last night was a very difficult sleep...or actually not much sleep.
