The Printworks

What an amazing building!

The Printworks was a major headquarters for printing national newspapers for many years. It was known as Maxwell House when it was used by Robert Maxwell until his death when it was left unused and ended up an empty, derelict building. It sustained considerable damage in the Manchester Bomb in 1996 but then became part of the huge urban redevelopment of the city and after £150 million facelift we now have this fabulous building back in use.

I went for a wander around town, had a little spend then decided to have lunch in The Secret Garden. I bought a paper and sat there for over an hour then Tracey joined me for a cuppa. I sat in the window and watched the world go by, you just can't beat people watching!
