White-faced heron ardea novaehollandiae

Its been very wet here the last few days and a good SW drenching last night has become evident also to this White-faced Heron. Its go a decided "shaggy dog" type look about it.
I've heard learned photographers call this sort of photo a " Bird on a Stick " they saying it's boring but I think this one goes beyond the "bird on a stick " label and shows the environment it has has to survive in ??
