Monkeying around....

...on Gibralter.

Our first landing since setting sail from Southampton and it's a place I know like the back of my hand. I have history with this place but we best not bring it up.

As soon as we were off the ship we headed towards town then to the cable car, as soon as we got there we had to make a decision as the queue was so long. The one option was to walk up the rock and the other was to get a taxi, unfortunately we were pushed for time so walking was soon discarded.  We then struggle to find a free taxi so opted for a guided tour which worked out rather well and we got to see more of Gibralter than we thought.

The Barbary apes you see on the rock no longer die of natural causes but of diabetes and heart attacks as they eat so much sugary human food (See extra of one eating a Magnum it had just stolen).

See more extras----->

We went in the cave at the top

I played with my new 600mm lens on a Gull and had quite a good success rate on focus and captures (it really is a very good lens considering the value it was).

We climbed to the top of the tower.

A good day on land with sea legs
