Towards St Catherine's

The broadband man finally arrived at about 1 and got things up and running by about 4 . We now have a microwave aerial on the roof. No wired broadband round here. It’s definitely more scenic on the paths to the west so went off to explore some more.  This is the view from the church I blipped a couple of days ago. Was escorted through a farm with mother cows and their very young calves by the farmer who, when I told him where I lived suggested I take a short cut home via through the golf course. This I did but had to dodge flying golf balls. Not sure it was such a good idea.  If you have read "The Shepherds Life" you will know that all farmers need a second source of income. Our closest farmer has created a 9 hole golf course on his land. There is no club house; you pay to play at the farm. It is well mowed.  If you have not read The Shepherds Life by James Rebanks,  I can recommend it.  Suspect the broadband will have a few teething problems. Uploading is at snail pace.
