I drove down to Cheshire, stopping for a rest/eating/shopping break at Tebay and having to take evasive action involving the A56 after hearing that part of the M60 was closed after an accident. Got to Gareth's place and caught up with the news over a cuppa before eating a bowl of soup and changing into less sweaty clothes. Then another 15 m south to Bollington, where I met up with my lovely cousins John and Jill in the pub before the club was due to start. They recently celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary. Great to see them.

Then it was upstairs to the club room where I snapped the roof of the pub outhouse from the window - the slates are from a local quarry. It was a good evening; the room was full and the audience indulgent. G and L turned up too; and afterwards went back to theirs to have a delicious dram (G being a member of the SMWS!) before a much needed sleep.

The extra is tadpoles at Tebay. Gosh, it was a long day.
