Royal Wedding Party

We were up really early, my sweetie for a row in the rain and me to teach/cover a Pilates class at my local yoga studio. It was a really yucky day. We ran a few errands on the way home including starting 2 new batches of wine for our summer party for my sweetie's upcoming 60th birthday and his recent retirement. We then made pumpkin scones and set up our English tea tray with my tea pot, cups & saucers, Earl Gray loose leaf tea (to which i added beautiful dried lavender) all brought back from England. This photo is of our tea tray. We tapped the Royal wedding and settled in to watch the 6 hrs of coverage. We later switched to Pimms & Ginger, added a big salad, leftover tomato soup, mushroom tarts and chocolate bar. It was such a fun and decadent afternoon to curl up in the basement. It was extra special to witness such love at this wedding ceremony, especially when it was our 33rd wedding anniversary yesterday.
