The Avenue, Benmore

It was "Open Day" at the Benmore Botanical Gardens just outside Dunoon.

Although it was a damp sort of morning we went across and walked up from the car park to the Gallery and walled garden where the events were taking place.   We passed , on our way, the wonderful avenue of redwoods which is one of the glories of this large and magnificent garden from which I have blipped before. 

(Just to keep my construction theme from the week going, though, and for local record,  my extra photo of is Springfield,  which  its on the main road just below Feorlean and which will be demolished tomorrow to make way for a new house.)
