Sat in the car at Sainsbury's petrol pumps, I noted this contradictory sign. On the one hand, you are not permitted to use mobile phones at the station. On the other, according to the sign underneath, you may phone a certain number to obtain help at the petrol pump if you are disabled.
Someone didn't think that through.
We spent a magical afternoon at Whatton Gardens, open for the National Garden Scheme today. Magical because the weather was perfect and the grounds were full of flowers including wild garlic, bluebells, cow parsley and rhododendrons. Magnificent trees were in bloom all around.
As the lady in charge of the nursery said, it's charming because it's not manicured. It's not a National Trust Garden.
