Chaos

The day was not all chaos. Indeed, there were many parts of it which went very smoothly, and were quite satisfying. The main creator of disruption at work is the never ending arrival of emails. I truly think that most of them would be dealt with by the sender of the email if he or she had to walk somewhere to have a face to face conversation (especially in three days time), or handwrite a letter, or even in many cases make a telephone call. Typing a couple of sentences and pushing send allows the sender to stop thinking about whatever it is, by passing that on to the recipient.

On my way home after work, I thought I'd take a short diversion to see something S had commented on when we driving past on Saturday evening after the session. I don't think this was it. But in a way it encapsulates the day of chaos in the multifaceted reflections.
