Alliums

Another go at alliums, before they go over. Once they have, the succession of purple flowers around the euphorbia will have more or less finished, and the euphorbia itself will be setting seed too. Then it'll have to be cut back to allow the later summer flowers to come through. Somewhere beneath it is a helenium that I hope we haven't lost, although it's been flagging for the last couple of years. The combination of various purples and lime green seems to work quite well through the spring months, then that bit of the border moves towards red wine colours with later clematis and penstemons.
