Exford and Tarr Steps

We met our endurance friends for lunch at an old haunt in Exford where the Golden Horse Shoe had taken place over the weekend. A ride E. took part in on several occasions. Then we popped down to Tarr Steps for R to have a dip in the stream. 
I've read up all about them ....again....my retention is non existent!   It's the longest clapper bridge in Britain,  legend is that the devil built it, and still won't let you cross it if he is sunbathing on the slabs. Sadly its been washed away twice recently 2012, and 2017, but with the help of photos and drawings was rebuilt as accurately as possible.   We shared our cake with a lovely little chaffinch, who certainly had the visitors to the coffee shop sorted!
