Downpour

Was a lovely warm sunny day until about 6:00 pm when the daily thunderstorm brought the usual raindrops. But today it was a bit more aggressive and dumped a heavy load together with lightning and thunder. Enough to even not turn on the TV (satellite receiver) which can kill parts of the main distribution box in the attic. I think we have a box that allows 8 receivers (rooms) to be connected to the satellite dish. Of these, I think only 4 are still working. We don't normally need more than four so still OK but one day will need to replace it. Not a big issue as even an idiot like me can do it and the box is not expensíve.

Much of the day spent with a visiting friend and ex-colleague of Angie's from Munich together with her husband and 14 year old daughter. Goodness, how time has flown - I remember visiting them in Munich about 15 years ago. They had spent a few days down the road from us on Lindau Island on Lake Constance, the home port of Bavaria's High Seas Navy, Coast Guard and only lighthouse.

The Blip is of the downpour this evening which was too miserable to inflict on an innocent Blip public. So switched the camera to "Burka" effect and squeezed my eyes together to disguise the huge raindrops filling up the swimming pool
