A time for everything

Evening light from the patio

Monday
It was a beautiful evening, so we felt we had to eat outside. We are currently without a patio furniture set at present - our old set (about 15 years old) was rusting away, so we got rid of it when we were in France before returning to the States - it wasn’t worth taking up valuable space in the container. Last year we just managed without - I don’t remember there being that many occasions last summer when we were home that we wanted to eat outside - either too hot, too cold or wet! So Roger brought up our old camping/picnic table from the basement, and we used a couple of old folding chairs - actually even older than the last patio set - we had bought them during our first stay in France - but being of a plastic construction, they don’t rust, and still look reasonable, and we occasionally use them if we have a big number, which doesn’t happen very often. Anyway, we enjoyed our dinner at our makeshift arrangement, appreciating the lovely golden rays of the sun falling across the garden.
