Shopping

Busy day today. We went over to Andover after breakfast to go to the Le Creuset semi-annual warehouse sale. After a wait in the sun along the warehouse to get in we pottered about and managed to find a few bargains. Unlike some people with two trolley loads of stuff we felt quite under shopped with our three items - even then that cost me £92...!

We then went into town to pick up more mundane things. We did our best not to over shop - it is so easy if you are not careful and only got what we actually need not just what we want. We picked up quite a few bargains, Waitrose organic bread flour for 30p less than similar at Sainsbury's, so we got 3 kg. They also had some unsold Halloween stuff such as the blipped Cadbury's Scream Egg - which was free in the end as it wouldn't scan. Even though it was free I don't think it was even worth it - it wasn't that good...

After we got back home we had a quick lunch then went for a bike ride before the weather closed in on us and it was too dark/wet to ride. It was a little on the cool side - but properly wrapped up it wasn't too bad - and anyway once you are on the move you warm up. The only problem with the ride was the frequent and annoying 4x4s...

Anyhow now it's time to relax with a nice cup of tea and some very nice Madeleines - bought very cheaply at Waitrose as they go off tomorrow so they were very well marked down for a seriously quick sale. Unlike our local Cooperative or Sainsbury's that mark things down 5% at a time, Waitrose don't waste staff time and money on pointless incremental discounting, when the want rid the price really does drop...!
