Gorse

The overnight rain clears sooner than expected, but the road surfaces are a lot wetter than they were yesterday. I do some bike maintenance on my road bike for the Etape Caledonia sportive next Sunday. Then I hang out the washing as my partner is working.

After lunch, the clouds have mostly gone, so I walk along the Braid Hills bridleway to Liberton. The gorse looks very yellow in the sunshine. Hard to believe I'm in a city. The pylon is on Blackford Hill, and the peak just to the left of it is Arthur's Seat. At Liberton, I get the bus to Cameron Toll to meet my partner for afternoon coffee.
