Station Hotel

Major stations often used to have a grand hotel owned by the railway company. I stayed at one of the former railway hotels once. I don't remember what was wrong with it but I wrote to them to complain and received a refund.

Aberdeen's Station Hotel may not be as grand as the one I stayed at, and its days of glory may be in the past, externally at least it does not look too inviting.

I was at the station to get the train for London. It lost some time along the way and was about half an hour late arriving at Kings Cross. As a result I arrived in London in the rush hour, not ideal.
