Tree Peony

A chilly day with very little sunshine till the afternoon .... so there was no sitting in the garden with my book and a long cool drink.

Padded jacket, woolly hat and gloves I was kitted out and ready for a walk. The poppies are just about ready to burst into bloom but the peonies have beaten them .... so many beauties around just now, some with big blousy flowers others, like this yellow tree peony, with a much finer flower.
