A walk by the river

We went to Lamlash this morning and stopped to investigate some lovely old derelict buildings by a river. It’s sad to see places that had been family homes in such a state.

We continued to Brodick Castle to walk to the waterfalls in the country park. We got to the part where the path splits to get to the falls and we saw a notice that that section was closed for repairs. We didn’t fancy the alternative as it missed out the part that we had wanted to see. We walked back and had cup of tea and to cool down as it was very hot.

Afterwards we had another walk along part of Glenrosa Water, it was beautiful in the late afternoon sun. We got chatting to an elderly gentleman who was very keen to tell us about the history of his area.
