Clydesdales

This time of year is when our local Clydesdale breeder has fields of mares and foals so while I was collecting bird seed from him I took the chance of having a closer look at one of them. May is always a lovely month to visit as in addition to his own horses there are always mares and foals arriving to meet up with one of the stallions .

Apparently when this mare was a foal herself I had treated her by injection for something and she recovered but she lost the hair  from her back legs - the farmer has a better memory than me as it was quite a few years ago. !
