Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

By NannaK

Coralroot orchid

We're back to the island.  5 1/2 hours door to door with everything hauled in place.   Lunch, filled the bird feeders, watered a few plants.  Took a big Nap!  Lovely .  (There is no substitute for sleep.)

These spotted coralroot orchids were standing out in the sun on my way up the steps..  they produce little to no chlorophyll, generally don’t photosynthesize and rely on fungi for nutrition.  no leaves.  found in forests.  Native americans used them for colds, pneumonia and skin irritations.

I’m feeling like doing some “painting” on photos, so experimented with the background.  Because I had time to!!!!!   :-)
