Happy Birthday to....

...Me.

Today I left my thirties for good and I had fun doing it in Portugal.

This is our Lisbon Segway Tour guide, she was full of life and adventure, spoke four languages and was exactly half my age. At only 20 she has the world in her field of view, once she is finished with her studies in history and middle east culture she wants to travel, to be fair she's already lived in three countries. I love how small the world is becoming and how easy it is to chase your dreams in different locations.

We got to explore lots of the city and what it has to offer even with a few incidents we don't need to talk about. We sampled some local food and drink and despite the weather not being great in the morning we had a lot of fun and eventually the sun shone once again.

I've had manflu trying to set in for the past day or so and tonight it really kicked in but not before having a decent win in the casino just as the clock stuck 00:00 to my birthday (before our day in Lisbon).

Being 40 ain't so bad but I need to shift this cold, or is this what happens when you go beyond 40????
