Capturing my Journey

By thedoglady

All here

2.30am alarm so we could get packed and walk dogs before shedding the sheep into ewes and lambs and then into the numbers that the big lorry wanted them in to fill the pens. We got a friend to come with his livestock box and ferried the livestock to the end of the track to load onto the artic. The lorry was too big to come up to the farm. All sheep and then all cattle loaded without a hitch. We then packed up as many cattle gates we could fit in and the sheep handling system and the bale trailer in our livestock trailer and headed for the ferry. We only have one load of gates and the cattle crush to come now. House keys handed over.... farm empty. What an absolute relief.

A long journey we were very tired. Then unloaded the livestock and sighed with relief. Poor dogs are exhausted too. Now they can settle in their new home. And we can begin the mammoth unpack....tomorrow..

Backblipped yesterday no phone signal no internet at the old farm.
