Old oaks

Today we have been to another nature reserve known for its large oaks. My husband hugs one of them and you can see how big it is, several hundred years old.
A brown willow beetle creep on my leg, perfect I thought, and I took a photo.

During the 16th and 1700s and the first half of the 1800s there was a planting oblige on oaks, they were needed for warships. All oaks belonged to the king and it was hard punishment if someone chopped an oak. Therefore there are many really old oaks in Sweden.
