Travelling in Style

We went over to Kelso this morning.  It was all happening there - a scooterist convention, I assume, judging by the dozens we saw buzzing along the road. Then there were the very smart hats - it was Ladies Day at the races. Our destination was mundane - the garden centre for compost for the tomatoes.

It is near the river, so we took Raf for a bit of exercise and that's when we saw the swan family cruising in style along the bank. A lady came out from one of the houses and began throwing bread to them, and in they came.  The little ones soon jumped in and began swimming around. (Extra)

Raf got a bit too close and was hissed at - he got the message.  And then he made a friend of a labradoodle and had a lovely time romping around.
