Happy Pootling Birthday!

Beautiful start on the allotment - my sister couldn't believe how loud the birds were! It was lovely to show her all the work I'd done on the allotment - nothing better than showing your garden to a fellow gardener! Whilst she looked round the other plots I cleaned the coop, and then IBS kicked in and I had to relieve myself on my plot! So we headed home quickly! This put paid to my plan of going to Trematon.
It was a happy day spent in the sunshine doing my own garden instead! I moved pots of finished bulbs to the front garden and used the freed pots to put my Dahlias in! Every now and then I'd stop for a cup of tea and a present from my sister! She gave me a bee tapestry I'd admired to do - complete with threads, linen and a needle! She also bought me a magnifying light that we chose together and will be arriving next week! Also a felting dog book complete with the felt, a pair of pink socks she knitted in a magnolia pattern - our dad loved magnolias and there are 5 in her garden he planted! Also chocolates - fancy Hotel Chocolates and soft creams! Finally a tiramisu and coffee cake! She also cooked me my Birthday tea of salmon en croute with wilted spinach in a béchamel sauce!! I had prepared our lunch! All round a relaxed and happy day - finished with the bedtime of the hens! At 55 a simple birthday involving the things and a sister  I love is just divine. I'd even deleted my birthdate from Facebook last year to stop people posting birthday wishes - people   I've not heard from or seen since my last birthday and many birthdays before that! I had messages from my close friends which was lovely. I rarely go on facebook nowadays - I am simplifying and decluttering my life in every aspect!
