Vale Visit & Mediaeval Murals

Mae ffrindiau gyda ni sy'n byw ger Tresimwn, Bro Morgannwg a ymwelon ni â nhw ymweld â nhw am ginio ddydd Sul. Aethon ni am daith cerdded o gwmpas eu gardd hyfryd nhw. Maen nhw'n byw ger fferm a hefyd mae bustych gyda nhw am gymdogion. Cawson ni bryd o fwyd ysblennydd a threulion i'r prynhawn yn sgwrsio. Ar ddiwedd y prynhawn aethon ni i lawr i Lancarfan i weld yr eglwys yna - Eglwys Sain Cadog. Ar waliau'r eglwys mae murluniau o'r canol oesoedd. Mae'n anhygoel meddwl am oedran y lluniau pan ddych chi'n gweld nhw.  Roedd Llancarfan hefyd y lle geni Iolo Morganwg a sefydlodd yr Orsedd yn y 18fed ganrif. Roedd y diwrnod yn hyfryd iawn ac roedd e’n dda i weld ein ffrindiau ni a fwy o'r Fro Morgannwg.

We have friends who live near Bonvilston in the Vale of Glamorgan and we visited them for Sunday lunch. We went for a walk around their beautiful garden. They live near a farm and so they have bullocks for neighbours. We had a splendid meal and spent the afternoon chatting. At the end of the afternoon we went down to Llancarfan to see church there - St Cadog's Church. On the walls of the church are medieval murals. It's incredible to think about the age of the pictures when you see them. . Llancarfan was also the birthplace of Iolo Morganwg who established the Gorsedd in the 18th century. It was a very beautiful day and it was good to see our friends more of the Vale of Glamorgan.
