It was Mothers' Day in France on Sunday and I visited my parents in what is now their "base camp" in South Finistère. After a simple lunch (scrumptious dessert, though: pistachio pannacotta-like pudding and strawberry mousse in shot glasses and a bite-sized vanilla macaroon) we went for a walk along the coast.
