Abandoned

You can't miss this plane as you drive past it and today, G managed to get a really good shot of it. If you'd like to know more, there is some information here. Funny that I gave my journal its title and then did an internet search for more info about the aircraft, and nearly all the articles had the word "abandoned" in the title!

We had a drive up to RAK this morning whilst we have a car. I worked out that we don't really need a car over the next few days, so as the return time is 11am with a couple of hours grace, it was possible to nip up there and back.

G's car is so poorly, it's quite unbelievable, in fact, we had the idea to bring it home for a few days, but it wouldn't start! It is still cheaper to repair than buy even secondhand, so she's going ahead.

Some of the afternoon was spent trying to work out how to get the Volvo part over asap. At the moment, the cost to bring it over might be way more than the part itself!
