A concrete love affair

City Love

Saw this while walking through a west end park. I liked the decaying daylight merging with the street lights and the falling leaf textures, but mostly I liked the distance....

Had a very in-depth discussion last night with @badshoes7 who has been shooting his city spaces film over the weekend. We talked about how cities are essentially organic and living entities, their evolution like the concentric rings of trees; organic in design potential and response, rigorously beholden to the beauty of decay and renewal. Simply oozing symbolic potential. So much fantastic chat and ideas come from our conversations.

Another interest we discussed is radio, firmly planted in my mind as an exposition of a cities zeitgeist, the transmission characteristics and interplay of frequency allocations fighting it out in distance fields and over control of mouldy monolithic concrete motorway bridge facades like gravity tugging on celestial objects... Finally marking that most outer of concentric rings. Told you I liked the distance.
