Somewhere Over Germany

We got up at 2:45 a.m. to get ready for our surprise holiday. Taxi arrived at 3:30 and at the airport we found that we were heading for Prague on the 6:30 flight.

A very foggy start to the day meant the flight was delayed by an hour - arriving safely at 10:30. We were greeted by a very smart suited young man who whisked us to our apartment. Our son booked it through AirBnB - we are staying for a week and it is handy for transport to and from the city centre.

We dropped our bags and headed out for lunch - I had a very nice goulash with a couple of large glasses of beer.

Then we headed for the metro and picked up three day passes and journeyed into town..it was very hot (30 degrees) and humid and very, very crowded whilst we walked about. We looked at a few of the sights - and of course we had to stop for refreshments - more beer. We were all feeling a bit tired so we headed back to base for a sleep catchup.

Will be heading out for tea when everyone is awake. Getting my blip sorted out quickly..
