Preying

What a privilege to see this Marsh Harrier coursing the wetlands and even more so to see it diving in to make a catch.

We woke up to rain today and toured the island along with a supermarket to stock up on provisions. A picnic of gorgeous French bread, cheeses, garlic sausage and wine under grey clouds on a sand-dune set us up for the day then off to the wetlands of yesterday we trotted.

The storks were facing into the wind on the pylons, the marsh harriers were weaving over the flats, herons rose hidden in the reed-beds and ducks squawked. The stilts were making a chirpy racket chasing one another which was entertaining to see and all was just beautiful. When I get to grips with my shots I will post them but atm I am barely managing to get to grips with the laptop.
