Zygocactus

Also called Christmas Cactus but it isn’t Christmas. This one came as a cutting which fell off onto another plant from the shop a few years ago. No, I didn’t pinch it .....but being a gardener I planted the small piece of leaf and it grew. Two years ago it was overwatered and rotted, the stem was completely detached from the roots. I replanted it and it grew again. Next disaster was when it grew too large for its pot and fell off the shelf. Now I have a heavy shallow pot that freely drains the excess water and it looks happy at last.

Spent the day sorting out the caravan which was fun.

We are trying to decide where to go now....first Bob will do some jobs like extra solar and battery. We are putting the movers back on ( 14th June ) and the car needs the Anderson plugs changed. They put on two grey plugs and we need a grey and a red plug as they are different. The red one will connect to the ESC breaks. That can’t happen until the 20th June. As well we have a couple of kids birthdays and I need a small “thing” taken off my ear in Sydney on 13 June. So when that’s all done and dusted we will go somewhere nice. Watch this space.

Our first day of winter started with another frost.
