A Blur Of Motion

It was a non-stop day today! Katkatkat came down from Edinburgh yesterday to help me prepare the shop for a Sale. Every item was taken off the shelf, cleaned and re-priced and put with other items of a similar price. A massive job. I knew what I needed to do but, at times, I couldn't see how we could manage it AND serve customers who came in in the midst of chaos!

There was stuff everywhere, sale tags, pens, Blu-Tack, mugs of tea, boxes of jewellery, cleaning fluid, etc, etc....

We even took jewellery home with us to work on ready for tomorrow!

We did, however, relax after a nice roast dinner and give The Mother a presentation of last week's canal holiday projected onto the wall. She loved it! Having been with us on the boat in the summer, she felt she had been on holiday again!

The evening was not complete without a taste of one of the lovely gifts an over-generous blipmate had given us. Glen Moray, a Speyside single malt. It was one we hadn't come across before, a light coloured, delicately flavoured whisky. Apparently they use ex-bourbon barrels to mature the whisky and that gives the lovely, smooth flavour. Thanks, R & J, much appreciated!
