Buxton

Today we walked the 1 1/2 miles to Longnor, and caught the bus to Buxton- best bit being the rout goes through all the little villages that we don't venture into.....and with a confidence and speed we wouldn't do either! ( you can tell who the locals are, who too have a great awareness of the width of their vehicles).

Buxton's gardens, architecture and atmosphere is lovely, but the one thing that stood out above all else was the friendless of the people - across all ages and genders. We seemed to find our selves chatting to young and old at the bus stop ( Buxton time was 20 minutes behind BST and the published time table) ....on the bus a young person with a babe started chatting. Really great locals.

Eventually back to Longnor, and tea and cake in the cute little market square, and the start of the trek back to the site. A little way along the road, fellow campers recognised us, and with me by now limping quite badly offered me a lift back....very welcomed!.
