Horatio the Squirrel

Making the most of the fine weather, we headed for the Botanic Gardens today.

Still minus 2 daughters though. No 1 is studying, No 2 is recovering from a sleepover (I don't know why we agree to her going on these as she gets very little sleep and is generally very grumpy the next day)...luckily we have No 3 to play with again.

A number of my regular viewers on FB comment that I only appear to ever have one daughter...no 3 has the equity card and will always oblige with a pose. The other 2 only appear for food, cash or a lift somewhere. (sighs).

Anyhoo, here's Horatio the squirrel. A very smart chap who was practically taking the nuts from No 3's hand and burying them under the leaves, then coming back for more. He even followed us down the path when we ran out. Horatio has been immortalised in bedtime stories by Mr S for many years.

A noisy evening both inside the house (No 2 isn't happy for some reason) and out (early fireworks!).
