Border Dispute

These two female grey house spiders have overlapping territories. It didn’t matter too much in summer when there were plenty of flies about, but now that winter is upon us flies are hard to come by.

The grey house spider’s web is messy because, rather than renewing it as the orbweb  spider does, it keeps on repairing the old one.
