Farming

This morning our townie little ones instructed us they wanted to go to the farm. Obviousley when we got there amoungst the animal they were never going to be as keen. It did not take long for Boy to tell us he wanted to go home. After a bit of lunch where we managed to get the last lot of hot food before a power cut we managed to have a good wander round the farm.

Girl was very excited to see some pigs that were three days old and really enjoyed the chance to stroke some rabbits and chicks. Boy was not so excited about interacting with the animals. This was due to a freak out just before the hands on animal encounter. As we walked towards the straw bale to sit down a small chicken was suddenly cornered between us and the bale. It took a run for it and went straight into Boys leg before making its escape. Given that he still can not stroke Bruce without more than once a day and then only with my hand under his this was a bit too traumatic for him and so he was held from then all they way to the car.

Girl decided it was her time to kick off as we approached the car as she wanted something from the gift shop and was not allowed it. The kick off went supersonic as we managed to get her into the car and to the playground down the road but so much so that she had to be left in the car with me until she calmed while Boy and Wife ran around in the mud.

Eventually she calmed and we got to have a play. On finding the others Boy was most happy to show us his muddy bum and knees of his jeans where he had fallen over. In fact we all came home covered in mud, a bit like the pigs in the muck.
