Scampston surprise

today we decided would be a lets see what the weather's like before we decide day. We had no idea and with the help of a brochure in the lodge we decided on walled garden and parkland trails at Scampston Hall, new to us, designed by Capability Brown. What a delight it was, it has gone straight to the top of my favourite gardens list. Beautiful, a bit different, hardly anyone there and the weather was decent. I was convinced one of the many flower shots I took was going to be my blip then all within a few minutes we saw a pair of swans, a bee, a fledged treecreeper frozen still trying to hide on the side of a barn and a damselfly. So those are todays blip, flowers another day.
All ended with another good meal at the Seabirds restaurant in Flamborough this evening
