Shinto Wedding Ceremony

The woofer and I witnessed a lovely wedding at the shrine this morning. Typically, Shinto weddings are usually small family affairs however, this one was huge!

The happy couple wear traditional kimono in red or white, the colours of purity. The bride’s hat called is called tsuno-kakushi, or "horn hider," meant to conceal the "horns" of jealous demons!
