Defying gravity

An invite for a walk with the bestest friend first thing this morning was a decidedly better prospect than working but I did get a little bit done before we set off at ten. We headed out to Goltho Woods going first to the church which neither of us realised was heavily damaged by a fire in 2003 and not the quite what we were expecting. It was still a very peaceful spot with at least one of these gravestones dating back to 1792.

A bit of a walk back down the lane and onto the woodland path, although we didn't ever quite make it into the woods with a weary Bailey who kept needing a lie down. I think it was a bit warm for him but it will definitely be worth another visit now that we know where it is.

Home to a pile of marking of Y11 work from Friday and some prep and bits and pieces before the start of Term Six tomorrow. A food shop too and another walk for Bailey which he was more up for as the temperature had dropped a little. Tomorrow morning will be a shock to both of our systems.
