The usual thing of a lack of sleep on the Sunday night before the start of a new term meant that I was slow in getting going this morning - although not as slow as Bailey.

I needed to pick up the pace quite considerably once I was in work and then it was a morning of mopping up a couple of colleagues and responding to parents and an afternoon of teaching. A department meeting at the end of the day was pleasingly productive and then there were quite a few bits to do before I headed home to Bailey.

A piece of work to finish once he had been walked and we have both been fed and then still enough light to water plants, fill up the bird feeder - again! and appreciate what is blooming. Bailey has also been appreciating the garden by sitting on the wall for much of the evening - I think he might be a bit unhappy with us being back to a term time routine...
