Crazy About Birds

Fawn

The Husband and I were on our morning walk, chatting away, when I glanced ahead and saw this tiny fawn crossing the road from the field that holds horses, under the fence, and into the woods on the other side of the road. Naturally, I just stood there with my mouth open - as you do - and didn't even try to take a photo. But when we got to the place where it had entered the woods I peered in and saw it looking back at me. Managed to get one shot. And here it is! I do hope it found its Mum. I assume she left it in the field and told it to stay there, but it decided it was too scary with the horses and the people. I hope it isn't that it's an orphan. It's so hard to know.
