Chamois on the Summit

Chamois post Winter, spend most of their time eating and not in the easiest of places (see solitary male in extra). These 5 youngsters from last year have formed a small herd that will stick together till the breeding season in the autumn. What a surprise to see them, I was just packing up to go down the hill when the first one popped out.

This evening we are having a 90th birthday celebration for an old colleague with the few "golden oldies" who are still in the area. Hence an early blip and apologies for lack of comments this evening. Thanks for all the lovely comments etc. for yesterday's Swiss cow!
