Sawfly

I had a photo all lined up of the tiny little bugs that have invaded the ferns but then this guy turned up.  I think yesterday's lacewing may well be eating all of the bugs as they're less in number today but hopefully, they'll still be around tomorrow!

I had help from the insect fb group to identify this one - I was stuck on some kind of wasp, had spotted it had no waist but came to a halt there.

Exciting for me was spotting a lizard on the moors.  I've occasionally seen a glimpse of a tail but this one paused in the bracken before scarpering.  I did get a little photo - but it was little!
