Great excitement!

Back up to the moors today to photograph the mini-bugs.  They're definitely  diminishing and the light wasn't so good today for such a minuscule creature, although I did try.

But then this fella turned up as I was scouting!

I do love my moths and have been thinking about getting my moth trap out again.  This one was an easy ID (hopefully!) - an angle shades moth - because of the sharp angular patterns on its wings.  You can imagine with the curled up wings and russet patterns, it would camouflage easily in autumn leaves.  It chose badly today!

Apparently you can see them resting out in the open a lot - but it's a first for me and that did cause great excitement!
